My Irish Cream brownies are a quick and easy dessert using your favorite boxed brownie mix while jazzing it up with Irish Cream Liquor!

Looking for an easy dessert to finish off your St. Patrick’s Day feast? These brownies will WOW your family and friends. They are deliciously rich, fudgy, and boozy with with an extra layer of Irish Cream baked into the mix as well as “poked” into the baked brownie. Nobody will guess they are from a box!
Salted Caramel Irish Cream Liquor pairs so nicely with the chocolate. I decided a buttercream frosting or chocolate ganache would be too sweet. Instead, I opted to spread a thin layer of my favorited salted caramel on top. A sprinkle of flaky sea salt and chopped toasted pecans is the finishing touch these brownies need.
The Method of Irish Cream Brownies
Five ingredients to one of the most delectable brownies you will ever eat!
- Your favorite brownie mix
- A bottle of Irish Cream liquor…I recommend salted caramel
- A jar of good quality salted caramel
- Some flaky sea salt
- Pecans- whole or chopped

Pre-heat your oven according to the box. Oil and flour a 9×9 baking dish. Follow the instructions on the back of your brownie mix BUT replace the water with the Irish Cream. Bake and cool completely.
Toast your pecans and chop if using whole. Poke holes in the cooled brownies 2-3 inches apart. I used a meat thermometer for this. Then pour a layer of the Irish Cream over the top so it fills in the holes. Using an off-set spatula, spread on a thin layer of salted caramel. Sprinkle some flaky sea salt over the caramel and top with the nuts.

Cook’s Notes:
To make this alcohol free, leave the Irish cream out of the poked holes. You can still add it in place of water because the alcohol will cook off and leave the flavor.
You can use different nuts like walnuts or toasted almonds.
Looking for a non-chocolate dessert? Try my Apple Cake with Rum Glaze and replace the rum with Irish Whiskey or Irish Cream!
Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I use other alcohols? Sure! Kahlua or Amaretto would be nice choices. Anything that pairs well with chocolate.
The Essentials:
If you make this recipe and love it, I would love if you gave it 5 stars!
