These easy weeknight pork chops have few ingredients, big flavor and take little time to prepare and cook!

Do you remember the old, dry pork chops of years gone by? Pork was suggested to be cooked to well done in order to be safe, but that is no longer the case. Pork chops only need to register 145 degrees on a meat thermometer.
An easy meal doesn’t need to be flavorless. My Baked Tortellini and Easy Chicken Enchilada’s are both great examples of that. Pork is a lean protein that is a perfect vehicle for any number of flavors that you season it with.
The Method
Ingredients Needed for Easy Weeknight Pork Chops:
- thin cut pork chops
- ranch seasoning
- sour cream
- bacon
- cheese
Add porkchops to a baking dish. The size of the baking dish will depend on how many chops you are cooking.
Aggressively coat the chops with ranch seasoning. No need for salt or pepper for this dish!
Next, slather the chops with sour cream… just enough to coat, but still see the seasoning and meat peeking through.
Layer on the bacon. Purchasing pre-cooked bacon makes this an even quicker dish to assemble!
Finally smother it in cheese. You can use shredded or sliced and any variety you like. I used cheddar on mine.

Pre-heat the oven to 350. Cover with foil and cook 20 minutes. Remove foil and cook another 5-10 minutes until cooked through. and cook for.

Cook’s Notes:
This dish can be altered using chicken cutlets instead of pork.
You could try your favorite barbeque rub instead of the ranch seasoning.
